This piece came to life just as I imagined, and it was truly a labor of love. The outer frame is light blue and white marbled stained glass. The inner corners are white and clear streaked glass, and the pieces around the wing is textured/patterned clear glass. Pressed Queen Anne’s Lace is pressed around the cicada, whose body is stained glass and soldered elements. Real (found) cicada wings are encased in glass around its body. The soldered edges are stained black and polished to a shine, and it hangs from a stainless steel chain. It is 12.5in tall and 8in across. It has a moody vintage feel with a bug lovers touch.
***Do not submerge in water - wipe clean with a damp cloth
***Do NOT hang from a suction cup - it is way too heavy. Use a nail, hook, or other way to anchor it.
